Julie Johnston is a native of Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a BA in English and Creative Writing. She has also completed both her Multiple Subject and Single Subject teaching credentials through the University of Phoenix. Julie has extensive experience working with special needs students in the classroom and tutoring settings, including work at the Lindamood-Bell learning center. Julie’s most memorable teaching experience came when she worked with a student who had major behavior problems. She was amazed to see him become more receptive to academic work as she helped to build his self esteem and adaptability to change.
