Rachel Marie Hochuli was born November 11th in Chandler, Arizona. She recently graduated from the University of San Diego with a B.A. in Psychology. Her future academic plan includes earning her Masters degree in School Counseling. Rachel's previous teaching experience includes tutoring high school students in math and reading to earn their G.E.D’s. What she loves most about teaching is having the opportunity to build confidence in students and also make learning more fun.

One of her most memorable teaching moments was when she was working with a student who hated math. Over time, she started applying the math problems to sports and things that he liked to do in his free time. Once his interest was engaged, it turned out that the student was actually really good at math and didn’t need help at all! All he needed was a fun and interesting way of approaching his homework.

In her free time, Rachel enjoys going to the movies, cooking, and snowboarding. Her favorite books include the entire Harry Potter series and her favorite movie is Ace Ventura Pet Detective. What she loves most is spending time with her family and going back to visit Arizona whenever she can!
