While she's proud of her Midwestern roots, Annie is excited that she is "not in Kansas anymore". She was elated to earn her Masters in Education at UCSD and her elementary education credential with a bilingual (Spanish) certification in 2009. This last year she has enjoyed teaching Lego Engineering in the Poway and Rancho Bernardo school districts. Although Annie originally studied Psychology at the University of Kansas, Annie decided to pursue her passion of teaching after completing a year with Americorps, where she tutored struggling readers. Annie is a life-long learner and is currently learning how to catch some waves!
